Working with Dreams and Nightmares
Working with Dreams and Nightmares with Aubyn De Lisle - Friday 13th October 2017 9.30am to 4.30pm
"Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes" Carl Jung
Many counsellors feel uncertain about how to go about tapping into the value of dreams. This workshop offers a brief introduction without the pressure to 'know' any answers.
Our focus will be practical - on how to do this gently and safely.
We will address the concerns about:
- need to know about symbols and mythology
- ways of working with dreams that are client centred and do not impose generalised meaning
- find tools to avoid getting stuck in content and gateways into process
- make contact with the essence of feeling that is key to the deep meaning of a dream
After a brief introduction and exposition please be aware the majority of the morning will be spent working in small experiential groups or pairs to try out these tools. You will be using material from your own dreams - whether past or present, a tiny remembered snippet or an entire dream will be equally of value.
Course dates are not yet available.
